About us
Our Lawyer-Mediators help couples with mediation, get divorced, reach an agreement with finances and agree on arrangements for their children, without needing to use solicitors.
How are we different to solicitors?
We’re different to solicitors because we work with couples together to help them reach agreement through discussion. There is always the option of taking independent advice within or after discussions but this is all about cutting out high legal fees and reaching a fair agreement with the help of a mediator.
We offer fixed fee options that are clear and payment plans to spread the cost.
We also offer a more comprehensive service than just mediation because we also prepare legal documents for our clients to manage the court process with ease. Our Lawyer- Mediators are trained in helping couples navigate a resolution to any disputes and to assist with the legal side for both parties after agreement.
What is the divorce process and how long does it take?
Divorces take a minimum of 7 months to be completed due to the mandatory reflection periods. There are several stages to the divorce process and you can start your divorce yourself through gov.uk, or we have services where this is included. How much does it cost to get divorced?
If you start your divorce yourself through gov.uk, you will need to pay the government court fee, which is around £612. We offer services which include help with the divorce process and getting your financial arrangements made legally binding.
How do I sort out my money and property?
If you and your ex-partner are able to reach an agreement over how to divide any money, property, pensions and debt you can have this documented and made legally binding in a consent order. We help couples reach an agreement and we can prepare consent orders and manage the court process.
I’ve already started my divorce, can you still help?
If you’ve already started your divorce through the government website, we can help you agree on your financial arrangements and prepare your consent order which outlines this to the court and is made legally binding once approved by a judge.
The Team
We have a team of five people here to help you. The founder of the business is a former family law solicitor and mediator. The vision is to use this experience to help others find a much simpler way forward on separation. To avoid high legal fees and the stress involved in the process. A change to the traditional solicitor approach when dealing with divorce, financial settlement and the child arrangements. We help you with your no fault divorce, separation agreement, financial settlement and child arrangements and then formalise those arrangements / agreements, S making them into court orders.
